Reduction of bacterial colonization on the skin surface and within the follicle. Acne is a skin disease that affects the pilo-sebaceous follicle. It is caused by blockage of the pores of the skin, with the consequent formation of pimples and inflamed and infected abscesses. Areas with increased secretion of sebum from the skin, including face, neck, chest, back and shoulders are the worst affected areas.
